i see phil ginsburg, i know bill is around, others from our da office, richard caranza and others from the women's status as well and the district attorneys from the various counties, the school administrators and instructors and superintendents from other counties as well, as well as our community-based agencies that are so invaluable it all of us. this is a very important topic and it's one that our u.s. attorney, melinda hague and i helped spearhead yesterday with 800 students who came together who watch an incredible film by lee hirsch i've heard the wonderful reports from the kids, seen their laughter and their tears. we are going to honor your making that film by doing what we need to do to stop bullying across the country. because the data shared by our u.s. attorney, representatives from the department of education confirm if we don't do anything about it, 13 million kids will become victims again for another year. some 3 million kids across the country will decide it is better to leave their school grounds than to continue their education. there will be more stupblting of the

here's our final ran da view --rendezvous with our command module. we eventually separated from that part and it crashed into the moon. we're heading home. the last time i looked at the computer before reentry we were going through 38,900 feet per second. we hit the atmosphere probably 26,000 miles an hour. you see the white hot fire ball outside the space craft and now it is fading away because we slowed down. maximum g was seven and half. if you hit wrong -- it is very critical because if you hit wrong and you don't maneuver wrong you can bounce out, skip out is what we call it, then you're lost in space. fortunately, all of the apollo behaved correctly and the auto pilot flew a precise projectry. so we landed within the a mile of the intended landing spot in the southern pacific. the parachute starts deployment about 23,000 feet above the moon then at 10,000 feet the main chutes come out. if you want my opinion, the prettiest site of all apollo are those parachutes. if you don't have them you're dead. here's the helicopter. this picture is taken f

our partners in state and local government. when i think about the hate crimes cases and the other cases i've done, i've made friends for life with local law enforcement officers, with local da's and local community leaders who have been our eyes and ears. when i look around this audience i really appreciate the fact you have all the ingredients of reform and improvement. i have had the privilege of serving in the federal government, as melinda described, i've had the privilege of serving in state government as a state cabinet official back in maryland, i've had the privilege of serving as a local elected official and governor -- once a local elected official, always a local elected official. what i learned from that is partnership is what it's all about. if you want to confront the most vexing problems, you have to bring people across an ideological spectrum, you have to include the business community, you have to include our nonprofit, our faith leaders. that's how you get things done, when you bring people together. and i look around this room and i see that you have already figured that out. i hope some of you had the opportunity to meet lee hirsch because i've done a lot
