was a big dick oxfam when i was about ten but it is the most important part. to this day i don't think i can fully understand what it must feel like to be a black person in our society and pass by glorified monuments to people who fought to continue owning your ancestors as property it probably feels similar to seeing a grand statue to work to a nazi in germany if there were such a thing i realize there are a variety of differences between the two but the point it sends is the same the monument says these men who viewed your kind as second class citizens or property or mongrels to be exterminated they were our heroes and we're proud of them. ok maybe not all statues represent those thoughts for example the world's largest ball of twine in kansas or fountain in chicago. that's a real thing that was apparently a rented by a man trying to remind dog owners to pick up there. but i think it probably had the reverse effect because people like oh this is where you leave the this is. fun. and good thing way we have the mainstream media to muddy this debate and create
