ryan: we traveled to the ozarks. in an exclusive interview this week, sergeant henry tells kcci piercy should be held accountable for negligence on the water. ryan: -- should someone have faced criminal charges for what happened on the lake that day? >> yes, i believe so. ryan: what charges? >> manslaughter, involuntary ryan: kcci has repeatedly asked for comment from both trooper piercy and the highway patrol but no one's talking. , henry officially retires next month. now the officer who spent three decades loyal to the badge says he is partly to blame for ellingson's drowning. i was part of the system. i signed off on tony piercy to work the water. ryan: you regret that now? yes, i regret it 100%. >> it's something i'm going to have to live with for the rest of my life. ryan: i also spoke to brandon's is father craig tonight about sergeant henry's actions as a whistleblower. he helps sergeant henry's account of what happened will help spur action. >> i'm just glad there's people in the patrol that are willing to s

kcci traveled to the lake of the ozarks and will bring the story to you exclusively tonight at 10:00. stacey: the state department issued a travel alert for americans. that means tighter security during this holiday season. airports like la guardia in new york have soldiers helping with security. this is in light of the recent terror attacks in paris. kcci's rose heaphy live at the des moines airport to show what travelers should expect there. rose: here in des moines, there may not be armed forces at the doors, but there will be tighter security in place. they say tomorrow will be the busiest travel day of the week, and with more people coming in, there will be more time that it will take. airport officials are advising people to come at least 90 minutes early, if not more. from 6:00 to 8:00 on wednesday, leaders expect workers to screen about 1500 people. that means longer lines at ticketing and going through security. to keep the lines moving, officials are advising people to review the carry-on rules, so they know what they're allowed to bring with them. they say there could be mo
