1 zoning is one that is very permissive, and citywide there's been an effort to change that to the p.d.r. zonings, which are tailored to today's needs for industrial areas. as you can see, most of the bayview industrial areas have already been zoned pdr-2, and there was a desire to leave the rezoning along bayshore boulevard from when this economic development framework is in place. so the current proposal for rezoning really ties into the desire for a home improvement sustainable district. and very simply, what the proposal is is to extend the p.d.r. 2, which is the core production distribution and repair area, over to the parcels, all the way to highway 101, and then adjust that with a new special use district. the new special use district has some specifically tailored provisions to support the economic development action plan. let me just go over just some of the highlights. first of all, the biggest highlight is that retail will be allowed here. p.d.r. 2 does not allow -- does restrict retail and here we're going to lift most of those restrictions on retail. there will still be cond
