we carried it live right here on fox 25 at 5:30 p.m. fox 25's robert goulston is live at bpd headquarters with what we've learned about this man's violent past. robert. >> the reporter: just moments ago, we heard from boston police and we are learning a little bit more about the suspect's past. apparently, he has been convicted of rape before. he was released from prison in december for serving time in a similar case. 31-year-old edward rodriguez is his name, police say. he was on a g.p.s. device as part of his probation. he served about eight years in prison for raping a woman about ten years ago. he's now accused of raping a woman in the south enderle tuesday morning. when police say rodriguez rode up to her on a bicycle and said he had a knife. he forced her into a park about two tents of a mile away and raped her. rodriguez finished serving about eight years back in december, and police say, he was on probation when he committed this crime. >> he was on a g.p.s. bracelet. from all the information we have, he cut that bracelet off an
