second, i should say i was the person who authored the resolution to form the pac. i wanted such an entity at the district level for parents to have input in policy making at the district level. it was sort of the third iteration. we tried a couple of other things that did not work as well as we like. i think all the members who have served. -- i want to thank all the members that have served. i want to say something about the student assignment policy development. i think this is really tough. i think i was in the minority in that i agree more with the pac recommendations then other members of the board. i acknowledge some changes were made. that is the important thing. what we have done is develop a way to get community input and make policy on complex issues that is able to be modified, that is not set in stone once it is proposed. that is the most important thing. whether we are happy with how far it went in one direction or another is secondary, i think. also, the ability to modify and assess continues into the future. that is one of the things we were clear ab

is so it's not that her pac is running dry or is it is that what really why she's going to here's what leads me to this i open the drudge report this morning and check out what the right wing news is and there's an ad up at the top for sarah palin's bus tour but right in the middle that ad is a giant green but this is donate i clicked on that and it took me right to the donation page on our pac where it said you know please make your gift now you can do a recurring gift a regular give fifty dollars one hundred dollars five hundred dollars up to five thousand apparently you can give to a pac once a year is what it says there and it's like please help sarah make this trip. is that what it's all about but it's not really for sarah palin she for all i know she could have twenty million dollars in her package she would still raise money after she had signed her book the last go and had millions of dollars coming in and she continued to raise money for her defense fund against the various extra arches that have been filed against her so despite the fact that she had a net worth in the marine

i am here to represent the pac because of the members are out of town. oh, carol ann, yea.addressing the transportation issues, i think that has been something that we have recommended to the board and that people in the form spoke to a lot, the concern about some of the feeder school was being really much further away or difficult to get to on muni, and it is great to look at the data in terms of the time it takes and transfers and stuff. people do recognize the reality of the budget situation and the lack of predictability and an inability to guarantee the transportation services by just recognizing there are very specific schools that need them. i know that they will be looking at -- looking at that really a lot in the future. the pac really works hard when making recommendations to look at the overall goals, specifically supporting student achievement, apple jacks says, and accountability, so it is through that lens that we urge the board to prioritize the equitable access to opportunity in middle school and still recommend this or some other equity mechanism be placed
