the pac-12 has a very high academic standard. is there concern among the pac-12 conference pred presidents that the oklahoma schools doentd meet the standard? >> our conference is unique in that we look at ourselves as being best of breed academically as well as athletically. we have some of the most elite institutions academically in this country, and that brand is really important. so it factors into all the discussions. i wouldn't say there was any one issue that factors into this decision, but we really didn't even get to it because of the issues we talked about before, vis a vis the long horng network. >> why is this good for college sports? >> people can debate whether further consolidation is good or not. what i see is uf got three conferences that are very stable in very strong positions. they're magnets for some of these other schools that are in situations that are unstable. so i think that's where we're at at the moment. i think you'll see other movement in other parts of the country with conferences realigning but i d
