his injuries are not considered life-threatening. >>> pacific gas and electric says 1,000 of its customers lost power this afternoon after a vehicle hit a power poll. the accident happened at 3:00 this afternoon in west oakland on market street near 21st street. pg&e says they cut electricity to 1200 customers. the utility hopes to have power restored at 8:30 tonight. no word on what caused the accident or the word on the condition of the driver. >>> a warming shelter opening its doors in south bay. it was not supposed to open until next wednesday but an emergency changed that. >> reporter: this may not look like much but for those living on the streets it will mean a warm place to escape the freezing temperatures on this thanksgiving night. they declared a local state of emergency allowing ehp life builders to open an emergency shelter in sunny valley tonight and one last night a week early. >> we can do 125 beds at all three. but this weekend with atate of emergency we will turn nobody away f. we need to go over we will. >> reporter: outside of the center a memorial black lifts the names
