the next storm system moving into the pacific northwest. unfortunately, it is going to aim at the pacific northwest itself. it is going to squeeze the atmosphere and produce gustier onshore winds. they are definitely westerly or northwesterly. not overly strong. 24 miles an hour for the strongest winds right now at sfo. almost always the windier spot. most of the sustained winds in the 10 to 15 mile an hour range. we can definitely handle that. most of the moisture is going to move toward the pacific northwest. every system that moves off to our north over the next few days. it is going to be every other day. there is a chance for the north bay thursday night into friday. don't cancel any outdoor plans. just be flexible in case. a couple of passing showers. anything more than a trace would be remarkable with this. it is mostly dry this time of year. we will take whatever rain that wants to present itself. right now, looking at the sales force tower, there is the fog rolling on in. only 55 degrees downtown. 65 in oakland. still in the 80s in

mostly energy headed up in the pacific northwest. all that energy focused a little further to the north, but still there get some rain showers up toward your weekend. reading also been a medford and all the way up in the seattle. but for us, we just got a lot of clouds moving across our skies. plenty of clouds are rolling on through right now. but we may just get lee skimmed across the north bay with the system as it comes in a little bit later on. so temperatures outside right now, they've come down quite a bit from what we had the past couple of days. numbers in the 50's in san francisco. you look at the 62 degrees in oakland. 69 now. so comfortable day in san jose. 67 in both livermore and conquered and 65 degrees in santa rosa forecast. kind of gets interesting here. see mostly energy from that front to the north and all of a sudden starts to move a little further to the south. so there's a chance that we could see some light sprinkles. maybe some light showers, especially in the north bay, as the system begins to come through a

part of the system aiming for the pacific northwest.e're not going get any moisture out of the clouds over than coastal drizzle. but just the presence of the clouds and the fog to slow down the warm-up is going to keep a lid on how much the temperatures are going to be able to warm up. and the winds will have something to say as well. the onshore winds are going to die down as we head through the evening and overnight. at least most of the night. picking up pretty quickly as we head through thursday morning. not strong enough for a wind advisory, just a noticeable cool onshore wind, pushing that farther and farther into the inland valleys. all of it is going to drop temperatures inland by 20 degrees from today's highs to tomorrow's high temperatures. put this back down to where we should this time of year. look at the temperatures. huge spread. it only made it up into the low 60s at half moon bay. upper 60s in san francisco. upper 70s for oakland. low 90s san jose. mid-90s santa rosa. upper 90s concord, and 102 record-setting degrees in

here is this huge, huge ridge of high pressure building its way into the pacific northwest, battling with an area of low pressure, actually a negative tilted trough right there ask the reason we're seeing the winds streamline north south across the valleys, even into the coastline and here in the bay alone. that's the big reason why we're under a red flag warning for sol lon know county starting at 11:00 a.m. this morning. that will start this afternoon and end tomaround 8:00 p.m. a wind advisory is issued from sonoma. mostly the hills impacted by this. wind gusts expected to get up to 50 miles per hour at times. on a light note, we're expecting daytime highs in the santa clara valley from mountain view into sunnyvale, mostly in the up her 70s. low 80s in the forecast as we head to morgan hill, san jose area. as we extend off in the east, more upper 80s over there. a warm setup no matter where we were in the bay area. as we es head closer to san francisco, daytime high setup around 68 degrees. 82 up in petaluma. that's the case up newer ukiah, mid 70s there. as we head into the next

this happens because of low pressure coming down from the pacific northwest. this will be the story for tomorrow. by the time we get into the tuesday or wednesday timeframe, the low pushes out high- pressure and and warmer upper 80s inland by tuesday. it will be down and then up and as you can see, tomorrow morning at eight a clock we have clouds and a little cloudiness. it goes on and by the afternoon it looks like this and that is to say mostly clear so that is the situation. so we will start with clouds and finish with sunshine and sunshine you can see that we have had clear skies for all day on tuesday. the rain chances are not much and the models hint at something on friday but we don't really believe. what we do expect is windy and cloudy and cooler on monday and the wind will be gusting and tuesday the numbers, especially on wednesday and the warmest day of the week with no rain in sight for the rest of the week. tonight it will be mostly in the 40s with fairfield down to 44 in livermore 46 and the forecast tomorrow will be in the 70s inland but cool cl
