this is a rare storm that is forming up to the pacific northwest for this weekend, and here's where weatch it. i mentioned the bay area, maybe monday. parts of the north bay could see those gloomy skies. a chance of some showers or two, but very light for us. just very active for them up there. the rest of the week, though, sets up into our first major heat of the year. we go on into tuesday, wednesday, thursday, look at these contours . just a lot of heat that will be coming our way and not only do i want you to look at those highs over the next couple of days, but watch those lows. not a lot of chance to recover in the overnight hours. so start preparing for how you're going to keep yourself cool, your home and your pets. that's really a stretch of warm weather as we go through the middle of the week into those 90s, further spots could be going into those one hundreds, but then we should be starting to come down as we go on into late thursday and friday . the city should also be in for some mild weather, bought a new hammock for the backyard, a good day to try it out and a sun hat. y

here you can see from the gulf of alaska they're getting some rain in the pacific northwest. we're going to catch the tail end of that system. so what that means, we're going to see some cloudy skies. we're also going to see another strong round of some strong onshore flow. so another breezy day tomorrow, here's the future cast model. you can see those clouds overnight. overcast start to your monday morning. 05:00am now notice around 08:00am in the north coast. you can see that green there. we could see some rain, some light drizzle, perhaps about north of bodega bay. so the north coast will certainly see some moisture. 11:00am also looks cloudy as well. and then in the afternoon, we'll start to see some partly cloudy skies and into the evening with those clouds hanging out by the bay peninsula and our east bay valleys. statewide temperatures are low around the coast. upper 50's 70's inland in fresno. so tomorrow you're going to hope you really enjoy that natural air-conditioning because we just heard from cal-fire mentioned this come tuesday through thursday. we have a heat

that's going to be hitting the pacific northwest. i know we're getting into early june, but there is a significant atmospheric river with a lot of rain going to the pacific northwest. we're not getting rain out of that, but we will be impacted by it because that system is really going to draw the marine layer back on. this is a large reason why the weekend in general is like 10 degrees cooler than the last few days you've had. it's going to rain in eureka, but watch it fall apart before it gets down here. we're not getting that. what we should be thinking about is the warm-up that's going to be coming after that system leaves. let's that another way. look at the big blob of blue. that's the cooler air with that system, but when that system leaves without giving us any rain and the big blob of blue moves away, we're left on our own and vulnerable to the return of the heat and the temperatures really start spiking. just one takeaway on this, enjoy the weekend. we'll look at the seven-day forecast in a second. the numbers are great, but

so we do have this area of low pressure in the pacific northwest.'s the future. when cast 30's right now, this at 10:00pm hour and santa rosa, sandra fell and half moon bay also in sonoma, gusting at 22 miles per hour. i'll take you through the overnight hours. you see the coast and this is tomorrow morning. now the coast will remand up in the north bay will remain breezy. but as we get to the afternoon, notice that pop, especially late afternoon around 4, 4, 30, we could see close to 40 miles per hour winds and places like san francisco, santa rosa and sonoma. so the coast, the higher elevations, the our mountains and hills and the gaps just expected to be a breezy day tomorrow. and you can see that it's going to continue this time tomorrow as well. and it's also going to stick around for monday. so we will be starting the week off on a breezy out with that. we do have some of the fire risk here. we have a red flag warning ever in the sacramento area. lake county and parts of solano county. this going into effect in about half an hour until monday

monday morning, i mentioned that cloud cover has the storm impacts the pacific northwest. this will also help firefighters out there recovering the humidity, possibly adding some of that moisture back into the atmosphere. but then we could be in for possibly the hottest stretch of weather that we have seen all year long, our heat risk index index. by tuesday, we can see the shading of the orange and the reds here. people that are really sensitive to this heat. or maybe you work outside or don't have any air conditioning in your home. you really need to prepare now. finding ways to cool yourself for the next couple of days as we get into tuesday and wednesday. hottest day of the week here, we can see more of that shading temperatures in the 90s, one low one hundreds in parts of mendocino and lake counties, even parts of concord, fairfield out there reaching that century mark and down through the santa clara valley. going to be a stretch of those temperatures from the upper 80s to some 90s as well. we're going to get into san francisco over the next couple of days as well. t
