terry mcsweeney is live in pacifica. terry? >> and the cliff you're talking about is right here on esplanade avenue where two apartment buildings have been red-tagged since 2009 meaning you can't live in them anymore because the cliff underneath the apartment buildings eroding away to the point they are unsafe. the construction equipment doing battle with mother nature but mother nature is a tough one. what the inspector is going to see when he comes out today. he was out here yesterday for a preliminary inspection, coming back hood. don't know of any new erosion but he is coming back out and today here comes the king tide, exceptionally high tide. it curse only twice a year when the sun, earth, and full moon align and it is aligning today. the peak of the king tide will be 10:30 this morning. other problems. rain we have had out here already. talked to a lady that lives in an apartment building out here. she was talking about the hail she heard last night. a lot coming down out here. add to that heavy surf. the pictures you sa

the crumbling cliff in pacifica? >> >>reporter: this is what they're focusing on this red attacked and 2009. and there were-red tagged. the surf is coming against these cliffs and they're concerned about this area. in between those two buildings. there is an erosion. it is also extremely wendy. and it is compromising the foundation of these buildings it is been extremely windy. -- >>reporter: the every between these two and the work that was done but not completed. and another picture that you can see between these two buildings. the erosion, rd 320. and the building inspector is keeping a close eye on this. believe it or not he says that these buildings are protecting the lives and helping keeping it intact. reporting from pacifica, kron 4 news. >>reporter: p s f o, with big delays. during the noon hour, arrivals had to dodge raindrops to get to the terminal. once inside, ticket counters were long. and the delays were averaging about two hours. >> i think 105 was our departure. and then a delay of a departure at 3:2

morning city inspectors will be back out to see if the storms have caused more damage to a crumbling pacifica cliffside. a preliminary inspection was yesterday but it's still unclear if the rains have further destabilized the cliff. just two months ago a large chunk of hillside fell off. two apartment buildings at the top of the cliff have been red-tagged since 2009 when residents were forced to move out. this morning the national weather service is warning that accommodation of continued rain and the arrival of high tides, the highest of the season, could create the perfect conditions for major beach erosion and coastal flooding. >> but it's bringing what tahoe skiers and snow boarders have been hoping for. fresh snow just in time for the holiday weekend. some schools, especially ski week, they were out the doors yesterday as the storms dumped a new blanket of snow throughout the area. many skiers complained the runs turned hard and icy but all that is now in the past. >> it's completely different. it's a whole new ball game today. >> what we needed. about four weeks or so since we got some
