pacifica with one of the coolest readings at 54 and it was 20 degrees cooler compared to yesterday. this is what has brought about the cooling. it is the marine influence you can see from the high definition camera. the marine layer was obvious there, and it is obvious tonight. it has already made its way across the bay. mainly 50s and 60s and antioch, 76 degrees. compared to 24 hours ago, the numbers are down. 18 degrees cooler in livermore and concord. down 8 degrees in mountain view and san rafael is running 11 degrees cooler. coastal and bay clouds, cooling continues tomorrow and the pattern holds right through the weekend. so tonight we have a marine layer 1600 feet deep. you combine the marine layer, and it has been deepening over the last 24 hours with a stronger onshore flow. the wind is coming off the ocean. it is pushing the marine layer up into the berkeley hills. so we are seeing advancement as far as the marine influence. it will drive the temperatures down. by morning look for numbers in the 50s and 60s and quite a bit of low cloud and fog cover. santa rosa 49 degrees.
