rep pacifica school district called and san mateo county mosquito and vector control. ticks were found and collected from several fields, but only one was found that ortega elementary. still, parents have reported on social media that the tick problem persists. >> are you guys ready? >> reporter: for now, no spraying will happen. instead, parents are being pushed to take precautions with tick repellent and routine text. >> just got another celeb ticks here, a lot of ticks there. >> and when presented with information that lets us know that students are in danger, we will, we will take the action needed. >> reporter: not of the ticks found in pacifica carry lyme disease, but that does not mean they are not out there. the school district is talking about a path between the field and the hillside at ortega elementary. that is to stop ticks to travel from the field. there's also $5 million plan to put in the field with an eight foot fence to key wildlife and pests out. >> lyme disease is nothing to mess around with. you mentioned some of the symptoms, fatigue, fever, rash.
