huge waves thrashing the pacifica peer and coastline today.goers are warned don't turn your back to the ocean or maybe just not go in at all. when you see that, you are kind of going you're barely safe there just watching it on the preer. >> or pier. >> yeah, adamant surfers are avoiding these conditions because it is dangerous out there. let's take a look at the levels to which this storm system over achieved. we are expecting 3.5 inches of rain out of this storm system in san francisco. we got over four inches of rain just on sunday. we mentioned the wettest day in october in the record books in san francisco. that dates back to 1850. 171 years of data. it's not that it is the wettest day. it's by how much it is the wettest day. over 1.5 inch above the previous record set 12 years ago. just a remarkable storm system especially for the month of october. here is what to expect over the next few days. partly cloudy skies overhead tonight. the few showers had quieted down a couple showers possible tomorrow. i'll show you those in just a second.
