this is palisades park in daly city.the other side of the fence there is a cliff that is a 200 to 300-foot drop. it's pitch dark but you can see at the ocean and see in that video animal control officers were standing by. officers had their cables laid out and ready to hoist the woman back up. this started around 1:00 this morning when a man and woman were walking their two dogs in this area. all four fell down the cliff. according to firefighters it's about a 200 to 300-foot drop down to the beach and they fell about half of the way down. the man was able to climb back up, walk to a home and call for help. he was injured but we are told he was taken to seaton hospital and he is supposed to recover. the woman however was still stuck about 150 feet down the cliff with her two dogs. rescuers were able to talk to her. shout to her. make contact with her. she told them she couldn't move but at least she was responding. rescuers on foot almost made it to her to rescue her but her two dogs described as being very aggressive. c

this is palisades park. on the other side of this fence, there is a cliff that drops down about 200, 300 feet. about midway in the middle of that cliff is where a woman had been stuck with her two dogs since 1:00 this morning. now, about a half-hour ago, we saw that coast guard helicopter arrive here at the scene. it's circled a couple of times, kind of surveying the area, figuring hout they were gonna effect the rescue. at 6:30, they lowered down an officer in a harness. he got down to the woman. he attached the woman to his harness and then the coast guard hoisted both of them back up. the 54-year-old woman who had been success here for most of the night, these and her way to the hospital to get treatment. we don't know the extent of her injuries. how did all of this start? 1:00 a.m., approximately, 2- year-old man in the 54-year-old woman were -- and the 54 -- 27- year-old man and the 5 had-year- old woman were walking their dogs. they fell. the man was able to walk back and ask for help. we don't know th

let's take a look at the thruway southbound, exit 13 for the palisades, we have an accident. it's taking out one lane of traffic. we're also dealing with a little bit of an issue on this outbound brooklyn bridge. still closed down earlier this morning, an accident involving an overturned vehicle. investigation going on, so until further notice be aware of that, and now we're dealing with a couple of things going on at the lincoln inbound and outbound. around the helix it's jammed. now f you're approached the helix on 495 right by kennedy, disabled vehicle that takes out at least one lane. and then it is absolutely jammed moving into the tunnel because we have a disabled tunnel inside one of the tube toss to go inbound to lincoln. at least a 45 minute delay, and that's at best. the outbound side of the tunnel is closed because of a vehicle fire that's being tended to inside, the outbound tube of the lincoln, stay away from the lincoln tunnel except if you need to leave manhattan. let's talk about the trains, e, f,m and r trains reduced service 6:30-9:30 this morning and 3:30-8

the coast guard helicopter arrived on scene at palisades park and thornton state beach to get the woman the ledge and hopefully the two dogs, as well. it all started about midnight. a man and woman were walking with those two dogs and they all fell down the cliff to the beach below. the man is 27 years old pulled himself up and went to find help. emergency crews found the woman about 54 years old and the dogs about 100 to 150 feet up from the beach. so one dog is with her the other a few yards away. rescuers tried to rappel down to get her but the dogs chased them back. crews on the ground are now waiting to see what the coast guard can do. as to how this couple got there walking on a cliff at midnight, authorities aren't sure. >> obviously, every citizen should be careful near a cliff area like this. it's dangerous. should be treated with caution. >> reporter: now, both the man and woman were injured, we are not sure about the extent. it looks like they will be okay. the man was taken to the hospital. the woman again we are waiting -- a lot of mosquitos -- here in daly city to, um, fin
