the newly named palisades tahoe. that looks beautiful. palisades tahoe says they've received two feet on the slopes. we know this, it's been a difficult two months for the tahoe region. first the caldore fire and businesses and locals paying a steep price. with the snow, their fortunes are changing. joining us this evening, kevin cooper, aka the snow whisperer. coop, thanks for joining us. i'm in the warm studio. you tell me. you're out in the elements in south shore. what are the conditions like up there? >> it's absolutely beautiful right now. we're starting to see really good snowfall down here. we'll see anywhere between 5 and 7 inches around the lake, on the west shore, south shore and up on the north shore. at the beach, as you were just mentioning, we've seen feet of snow, and in the next 12 hours, we'll probably see two feet more. that's great for the palisades, alpine meadows, north star, homewood, all will see great and significant snowfall. this is a changer. we had that appetizer in october when we saw 54 inches, but this is w
