you are looking at video from palisades tahoe today. yep. the sierra ski resort getting a dusting of snow. and tonight, we have team coverage on this weather. we start with meteorologist rob mayeda. >> the peak of the wind seems to have been this afternoon. we have wind gusts at sfo, about 45 miles per hour. those peak gusts at about 30. we just about got four hours left in this coastal wind advisory. as you can see here. winds strongest along the coast. some areas still in the 30 to 40 mile-per-hour range. the wind will expire. we should see wind speeds coming down. look at the comparison from the gusts we saw today versus the same time tomorrow. gusts 20 to 30 during thday tomorrow. there is also going to be a change in the humidity numbers around the bay area. today's winds were west, northwest. tomorrow, that is a north wind. so you'll see here the humidity numbers really starting to drop off as the winds begin to change direction. but also, interesting to point out, the moisture around the bay area due to the fog this afternoon are slig

. >>> now to a live look at palisades tahoe ski resort. it is almost time to hit the slopes. the sierra mountains got some snow. they got about an inch and a half of know. about a month away from opening day. >>> it's just lovely out there. meteorologist kari hall joins us now. >> the first flakes of the season and there is more in the distant forecast. it won't be in the next few days but as we get a look at one of our models it does show as we head towards sunday into monday there could be some more snowflakes in parts of the sierra and we could see anywhere from about 3 to 11 inches of snow so it looks great to start out our season with at least a little bit of snow heading into november. we could see it here late sunday into monday and could see more systems moving in behind that. we do have a lot to watch out for with the potential of some weekend showers here and the snow developing in parts of the sierra. i'll have more on what we can expect in the near term with the chilly temperatures. mike, hopefully your numbers are dipping as well. >> they're better than last week
