and you have a person in your family with cerebral palsy?ow does that work for you well, it was very tragic in the beginning. amiee is an identical twin and we were very excited about having twins in the family, but as you can well imagine having one that was severely disabled really was shocking, and disappointing, and in a way... it almost required that you mourn the situation to move forward, and... not expect to have twin girls that you were going to take to do things together. so we had to accept the fact that each was different, and each had different needs, and move foward, and embrace that reality. and one of the realities i know i faced, was when i was a kid with my sister going out in public and having people stare. and i know that they didn't mean any harm by it. not at all. but it was... uncomfortable for all of us. how do we better deal with that in today's world? i think it's important for families and communities to talk about the feeings, to talk about the situaton. i think information really helps calm the community and help
