alex. >> reporter: pam, good morning. it was a leak in a fuel line that prompted the early morning fire here at the chevron refinery. i talked to richmond fire chief. he told me this wasn't a large fire and that is why it didn't prompt any kind of community warning for people living nearby. richmond firefighters and firefighters from the chevron refinery firefighter were called out just after 2:00 this morning. it was a small line. three quarter inch processing line. it was leaking heavy oil this morning. and that oil somehow ignited. it took firefighters an hour to control the flames. and there was no one hurt here at the facility. chevron said in a statement put out this morning, it notified contra costa health services, but they also say that this fire didn't pose a threat to people in the surrounding area and there was no immediate to order people to stay indoors because of smoke. now richmond fire chief talked by phone a short time ago about the concerns that crews had. >> we are talking about a very small processing
