(pam) (pam) (pam) the largest wildfire in california history, is now 100 percent contained. the mendocino complex fires erupted back in july in lake and mendocino counties. the wildfires scorched 720- square miles. 157- homes were destroyed... and a firefighter here to help from utah, was killed battling the fire. officials say, more than 400- firefighters remain in the area... monitoring hot spots. the blazes prompted the evacuation of thousands of people in mendocino, lake, colusa and glenn counties. the smaller of the two blazes was fully contained on august 14th... but the larger "ranch fire" .. continued to burn in the mendocino national forest. officials have not yet determined a cause. (pam) and i'm pam more. now police in hercules are asking for the public's help to find the wanted suspect. kron 4's gabe slate spoke with them at the scene of the crime. at 8:30 am friday morning in hercules in the parking lot of this shopping complex that is off llow avenue right off highway 80 police say a hispanic male adult wearing a grey sweatshirt broke into a truck and stole a man's backpack containing a cell phone. police say the owner of the truck broken into witnessed the crime and chased after the suspect. the suspect, police say, got into this greyish/blue mercedes, before he could take off the victim of the auto break-in jumped into the car through the driver side window to try and stop the suspect from taking off. police say the suspect drove off with the man dangling halfway out of his car. this distracted driving caused the suspect to run into an occupied car, the victim driving that car was treated with minor injuries. sound from greg sanchez - hercules police "and as the suspect fled the s
