(ken) and i'm ken wayne. what was a missing person's case is now a homicide investigation.(pam) kron-4's charles clifford joins us live from san leandro tonight... charles how did police find the suspect? according to east bay regional parks, early monday morning family of 19-year-old anthony pimentel told san leandro police that there was a human body near the chabot dam. upon further investigation, police did find the remains of an african-american female near the dam. while the coroners office has not yet identified the body, alfreda davis, the mother of 18-year-old mariah davis, says she was told by police that the victim was her daughter and that 19-year-old pimentel had confessed to killing her.according to alfreda, mariah davis and anthony pimentel had dated for two years but were no longer together. even so, mariah and anthony apparently did have lunch at a restaurant in san leandro last wednesday but mariah has not been seen since. her family has spent the past few days frantically searching for her.
