ali pam back to you, all right, thank you, james. well, police say a convicted murderer who escaped prison after killing a prison bus driver was shot and killed byn is also believed to e killed a family of four while he was on the run. gonzalo lopez escaped prison and evaded police for three weeks in texas. the 46 year old was serving two life sentences. he escaped prison back on may 12th police say lopez broke free from his restraints as he was being transported by bus to another facility. he cut through a metal barricade and stab the bus driver and then took off. there was no sign of lopez until thursday. that's when police got a call from someone who has trying to reach their family members who hadn't heard from them in several days. officers responded to a residence on highway seven discovered five bodies inside the residence. two adults and three children. missing from the residence is a 1999 white shove re silverado. police believe lopez broke into that house killed the family inside and then stole their firearms and truck. pol

i'm pam cook wednesday morning. june 29th. we have a number of traffic problems due to tell you about the biggest one in the hercules area. let's check right in with sal, right, dave and pam . almost all lanes are blocked on 80 westbound, except for one lane that is getting by. and that's westbound 80 right at the hercules exit big rig involved with several other vehicles. this happened just before two in the morning, and it's been out there for a while. there are a number of people who are stuck in that back up there. and the only reason to backup isn't longer is because it's so early in the morning, but there's a pretty good long backup there on 80. now there's a tow truck that has arrived and hopefully this will be clearing up sometime soon. but if you're driving from vallejo and making your way into elsa brandt here, richmond. this is going to be a major issue. you may want to use interstate 7 82 6 80 get through that way. if you are looking at it farther upstream. you can do that. and that will save you a bunch of time. a
