let's ask pam bondi, florida's attorney general representing one of 26 states that is challenging theis point. attorney general bondi, thanks for skwroeuplg us this morning. >> thanks jamie for having me. i think we can expect that the supreme court will force the advocates to engage in a very vigorous debate over the fundamental principles of our constitution. it is about the vision that our founders had about a limited principle federal government. >> in its brief that it filed, the white house, about the fact that they want the mandate to be upheld that they think it is constitutional, you disagree, 25 other attorneys general do as well. they are saying that it seems to me, it may stand in the way, if that mandate isn't there, of covering americans who need health care coverage. can you make the argument for us that you are not standing in the way of americans having health coverage? >> of course not. the obama administration they are going to try to shift the focus just as you said, away from the constitutional principles that apply here. as attorneys general throughout the countr

speaker gingrich for 20 years supported a federal individual mandate, something that pam bondy is now going to the supreme court says it's unconstitutional. up until last year speaker gingrich supported the individual mandate which is at the core of obamacare. if you look at cap and trade, governor romney was proud to say heirst state as governor to sign a cap on co2 emissions the first state in the country to put a cap believing in global warming and credit sizing republicans for not believing in it. as did speaker gingrich who was for a cap program with incentives. not specifically the cap and ll out there. again, huge, huge differences en my position and where president obama is but not so on two major issues. you look at the wall street bailouts, i said before. you have folks who preach conservativism, private sector and when push came to shove the got pushed. they didn't stand tall for the conservative principles they argued that they were for and as a result we ended up with a bailout that's injected government into businesslike it had never been done before. they rejected conse

and our new attorney general, pam bondy, ran against the sitting lieutenant governor and defeated here him. and both of them, i think, have -- were kind of associated with tea party support. i think this is also in the long run, moving the whole debate farther and farther to the right. to the degree they do that it helps the democrats in the long run. speaker gingrich has moved romney a long way to the right. and i think that his insurgency if you will is one that's got them scared to death. >> erin, you are there in florida. you've covered both willard mitt romney's appearances and you've covered newton gingrich's appearances. what can you tell us about the size and enthusiasm of the crowds that you've observed. >> well, newt gingrich's crowds are certainly larger and more raucous than mitt romney's crowds. i think mitt romney's events are coming off a little bit flat. it's clear that they are starting to panic a little bit. last night, newt gingrich had a very big rally in naples. and it felt like it was a big fourth of july celebration. it feels like summer here, obviously. lots of

care law and at the same time supports mitt romney's plan, joining us is florida's attorney general pam bondiank you, how do you explain what senator santorum was talking about there. 15 points of commonality between romney care and obamacare, the number one being critics object to, the individual mandate. >> well, that is -- you are exactly right. the individual mandate. let me tell you what the difference is. this was a state plan in massachusetts. and i am fighting with everything i have got along with 25 other states, about the federal government intrusion into our lives. that is what obamacare is about, the federal health care mandate. that is what we are doing, everything in our power to fight. i have personally spoken with governor romney, numerous times about this. and he wholeheartedly agrees with us, that we have got to get rid of obamacare. in our country. you know, the founding fathers, what if they told us the powers allocated to the federal government are few and defined and, it has become a runaway train in washington, d.c. and we have got to -- >> i'm sorry to interrupt you. y

pam bondi here in florida is cracking down on fraud.ber two, get government out of the mess, government's created the mess. number three, help people see if they can't get more flexible from their banks. right now we made it harder for banks, and finally you've got to get the economy going with people having jobs. with florida with 9.9% unemployment and 18% real unemployment in this state and underemployment, you're not going to get housing recovered unless you get jobs created again. >> speaker? >> if you could repeal dodd-frank tomorrow morning, you would see the economy improve overnight. people don't realize, this builds on what congressman paul said. the fact is dodd-frank is crushing independent banks, it has an anti-housing bias, federal regulators are slowing down and making it harder to get loans, and it is crippling small business borrowing, all those things the punk of a bill -- the function of a bill called dodd-frank. >> you really think the financial system is overregulated? that's the second mention of dodd-frank tonight.

pam bondy is the attorney general of florida and a romney supporter.ns us to talk about it ahead of the big primary. ms. attorney general thank you for joining us. >> thank you, shannon. thanks for having me on. >> shannon: after his defeat, why do you think that mitt romney is still the person for florida voters? >> shannon, florida, we are known for our early voting. and so many voters already interest come out and supported governor romney. mitt romney has been running a well organized campaign for months and months now in our state. florida, we are known for electing, washington, outsiders into office just like marco rubio and myself were elected in 2010. florida we are all about jobs, the economy, everything we can do to get our state and our country back on track and that is exactly what mitt romney is ready to hit the ground running as president doing for our country. >> shannon: we understand that there are already 200,000 votes, early votes lodged there in florida. who do you think that benefits? >> well, i would certainly hope it benefits gov

on the other hand, romney has pam bondy who came out and supported him over the weekend.ther thing, i know you guys were talking about florida being the big kahuna prize. well, you know, if you remember, it used to be an even bigger kahuna when it had 100 delegates that they sent to the convention. but when they moved their primary up four years ago, the republican party slapped florida on the wrist, okay, we're cutting your delegates in half, you only get 50 and that still stands this year, only 50 delegates. one other point, the cost of television advertising is enormous in florida. 9 to $10 million is estimated to run an effective campaign in florida because of the costly markets. miami, orlando, tampa. >> you know what? >> yeah. >> i still think it's great that you just reminded everybody about all of that delegate cutting the rnc did. i know that's a big deal. but i could have sworn i heard something about the rnc reconsidering possibly. do we have any idea where the reconsidering stands? is there still a chance, right, florida could get all the delegates back and go
