pamela?arsh, thank you for that. >>> it looks like all sides will stay at the negotiating nabel vienna just as the deadline for a( nuclear deal was about to come and go, the deadline was pushed to friday. there are several points of contention on the table including an arms embargo. u.s. secretary of state john kerry said over the weekend the talks could go either way. fred pleitgen joins me now from tehran. fred, the iranians say there was no formal deadline to begin with as far as they were concerned. is there urgency on the iran side? >> that's a good question. one of the things the iranians say they don't feel any time pressure at least that's what their negotiators have said. there is a lot of political pressure in iran. the majority of population want better relations with the west but there are a lot of hard-liners who are skeptical of what the outcome could be. i spoke to the deputy foreign minister of this country and he said that what's already been achieved is that because the u.s.

pamela we're getting new details about this shooter. tell us what we know. >> the fbi is now officially identifying the shooter, wolf as 24-year-old muhammad youssef abdulazeez. in this statement just out from the fbi, it says while it would be premature to speculate on the motives, we will provide updates as they are available. i have learned from sources, wolf that the fbi is treating this at this stage as a terrorism investigation. this is being investigated by the joint terrorism task force. at this point, officials have not determined a specific motive but this is being treated as a terrorism investigation. we've learned from authorities that the shooter, muhammad yousef abdul site lived in the area there, but i'm being told by source at this stage it doesn't appear he was someone on the fbi's radar, and it doesn't appear at this stage he had direct connections to the military. i can tell you, wolf there has been a heightened state of alert, especially in the last few weeks at military installation because of the threat from isis.

pamela what are you learning? >> reporter: we're learning the fbi has identified the shooter as 24-year-old mohammod youssuf abdulazeez. what i'm being told is that this person was born in kuwait. he's a jordanian citizen and that his parents were naturalized u.s. citizens which would lead you to believe that he is too. law enforcement is actively working this case trying to find out more about this shooter, but we do know that he apparently according to authorities in chattanooga, is from the area. he lived in the area. the fbi-led joint terrorism task force is investigating this. to be clear here wolf authorities have not determined a specific motive yet, so they're trying to determine is this domestic terrorism, is it international terrorism, is there another motive unrelated to terrorism. as they figure this out, though this is being investigated by the joint terrorism task force, which is a mix of federal and local law enforcement agencies. still a very active investigation. they will be poring through his so

here in new york our pamela brown is with us.you just got some new information. >> new information is we know mpd is searching, they're going through hallways bathrooms, stairwells, third floor, fourth floor. they have found in evidence of a shooting. no one has been shot that they've found thus far. what we know is this all started with a 911 call this morning. someone called and said there was a shooting on the second floor of building 197, which is the same building where the shooting happened a couple of years ago where 12 people were shot and killed. so immediately the mpd, park police, fbi, atf, all of these different law enforcement agencies converged on the area. they have taken this very seriously. evan perez is on the ground here. he says those same people are telling him that they didn't hear any gunshots this time around, which i think is a piece of the puzzle here. >> it is. we've spoken to a few witnesses there. no one we've spoken to says they've heard shots fired or seen a weapon. pamela, stand by for one second.
