nbc 10s pamela osborne is live in olney with details on the investigation. pam? >> reporter: the man inside of that car was rushed to temple hospital with serious burns. residents tell us this is a quiet neighborhood but it was anything but it 5:30 this morning when they heard a man yelling for hope. i spoke to one witness off camera who said the man who was burned was also bound and the man was begging for them to help them remove the restraints from his hands. and police and firefighters and fire marshall responded to the scene. we were here this morning when investigators photographed the car and searched for evidence nearby. i checked in with police, we were hoping to get an update on the victim's condition and more about the unusual circumstances surrounding this fire and this neighborhood street. we'll let you know just as soon as we get more information from them. reporting live in olney, i'm pamela osborne, nbc 10 news. >>> morning rain is now moving out and temperatures are falling across the area this morning. here's a live look at center city. flags fl

pamela osborne this morning is live for us. pam? >> reporter: rosemary, look at the roads right now. it's kind of hard to tell that snow even fell. you can see where the snow has been pushed off to the side. this truck over here, probably got about 6 inches of snow on the top. crews, again, have been out since overnight. all morning long, trying to clear things up. even though things are pretty clear right now, we've seen them driving around with the salt trucks and plow trucks as well. i want to point something out to you. some of the sidewalks are pretty clear but some icy as well. take a look, we've got snow over here and all this down here that looks wet, it's actually a sheet of ice. you want to be careful. especially if you're walking this morning. we know that over night, penndot reduced the speed limit on some of the roadways. that has now been lifted. weave traveled 76, the northeast extension to get here. didn't have any major trouble spots there. as krystal says, the temperature is going to increase throughout the day. ho

nbc 10's pamela osborn got on scene. what have you got so far? >> reporter: well, tracy, from where we're standing right now we can actually see three ladders that are extended in the air up above this fire. this is american legion building inside where firefighters are spraying is where woodstown keeps its ambulances. i want to show you some video to show you what it looked like when this fire first broke out. you can see this into tire building is completely engulfed in flames. residents say they woke up to the sounds of explosions this morning. this entire area has been flooded with first responders and vehicles. u.s. 40 both eastbound and westbound between route 45 and elm street are currently shutdown and closed off to traffic to accommodate all these emergency vehicles fighting this fire. we're going to try to reposition ourselves here where we can get a bit more information for you on this fire and what the situation is on those ambulances. we'll see you again for another live report with some more information at 6:00. reporting live in wo

. >> nbc 10's pamela osborn is live on scene. pam, neighbors say they heard the explosion earlier this morning from the building. tell us more. >> reporter: yeah, tracy. they said those explosions started at the 4:00 time this morning. there isn't really much there. you can see those bays where those ambulances were housed. they are completely destroyed. we can show you there does appear one that is still left behind that wasn't inside at the time of the fire. those explosions that followed. but this was just a massive fire. residents say the fire was actually as high up as those ladders you see now extended. we want to show you some viewer video of what this looked like when those flames first broke out. we've learned that there were four people that were inside the building. there was one person that was awake. three other people were asleep. that one person that was awake could sense something was going on, saw the smoke, felt the heat. was able to get everyone up and outside the building before the explosions, before that fir

. >> pamela osborne is live where some of the heaviest snow fell in the lehigh valley. good morning, pam. >> reporter: good morning. i'm a victim of the snowmelt coming down from the trees. we're standing in several inches of snow here in south white hall. not everybody is cleaning up this morning. as we mentioned, the temperatures are warming up. it's a perfect day to do a little four-wheeling. take a look. we found these kids out here playing, enjoying the warm temperatures and this fresh, fluffy snow that fell overnight. not causing a lot of issues on the roadway. although he's stuck and having trouble getting out. crews up and down streets in allentown. south white hall. all morning long. you can look at the pavement here. you can see things are pretty clear on the roadway. the only issue is that they're a little bit wet. the curb of the streets, there is a little bit more snow piled up there because the plows have gone through. again, not causing any major issues on the roadway this morning. just a little bit of stuff to clean up after. if you don't have to clean u

pamela osborne is live in all allento allentown. what are conditions like this morning there. >> reporter: conditions are looking pretty good right now, dray. they were also good on the way up this morning. travel on 76. the northeast extension, everything was good there. take a look at the roads right here, right now. they're pretty clear right now. overnight, penndot lifted the speed limit restrictions placed on roads throughout region because of the snow. allentown is where the heaviest snow fell. it reduced visibility and quickly covered roadways and sidewalks. crews were out all night salting and plowing the roads. we spoke to one woman at the height of the storm who was visiting her grandmother in allentown. although she drove, she decided it would be good to leave her car and walk home. >> everybody was talking about it coming. it came fast. heavy right away. >> reporter: and as we're taking a live look in allentown, this is 7th street at hamilton street. the roads at this point are just wet. there's a little bit of snow on t

nbc 10's pamela osborne is live where she's been talking to people getting ready for a dose of snow. i mean it is still winter, pam. we're still in february. >> reporter: yeah, but it's hard to imagine that it's going to be snowing tomorrow because it feels really good outside right now. we've seen people walk around in short sleeve shirts light workout clothes, people running errands trying to get through the day and to enjoy these temperatures. but, as we know, it's only a matter of time before the temperatures drop and we see some snow. you may have to do some calling around to find salt. if you're out of it at home, the first stop is home depot, they tell me they're completely sold out of salt at this point. we checked around and found the true value hardware center had plenty left on shelves. the 50 bound bag was on sale for $26.99. they had some smaller size on well as well as shovels and other winter accessories. we've been talking to people what their plans are. some of the people we spoke to didn't realize it was going to be snowing. others were aware and planning accordingl

nbc's pamela osborn is on her way to the scene. >>> and developing now, concerns over an old city philadelphia neighborhood ravaged by fire that jessica just referenced. >> right, dozens of people out of their homes and now officials are watching to see if the burned building might collapse. matt, inspectors will be out today. tell us more about that. >> reporter: that's right. the inspectors are going to be going in to make sure this building is safe for them to go in and get their belongings. right now this is pretty much empty with the exception of firefighters at the scene watching over this building. and that is the building right there in the center that has broken windows and fire damage. there's also a restaurant and hotel nearby. 160 were evacuated and still not being allowed back in because firefighters and inspectors don't know just yet if it is safe for them to reenter. we have been talking to the deputy fire commissioner last night who who said they really have to make sure it's safe because it could collapse. inspectors are going to go inside to see if it is safe. but as we take
