. >> we have team coverage, pamela osborne with more on the impact. but we begin with matt delucia live in maple shade. matt? >> reporter: and investigators have been here at the scene taking photos and collecting whatever evidence they can. let me step out of the way and give you a lay of the lapd. route 73, southbound. this is where it meets up with route 38. the person was hit here in the southbound lanes. the body is still here. and because of the investigation, there are lane closures on 73. you see the cars going by here. there's one lane open in the southbound lanes. we first heard about this around 1:30 morning. police have not said anything public as to the details and circumstances that led to the victim being left for dead. at one point, route 73 was shut down entirely. since then we have seen that one lane getting by in both directions. northbound and southbound lanes of 73 are affected because of this. no word yet on when all lanes will reopen. of course, we will be updating you throughout the morning and trying to gather more information

right now, over to traffic with pamela osborne. >>> we'll start things off in delaware. i'm watching an accident with injuries. this is in wilmington manor, in the northbound lanes of route 13 at roosevelt avenue. i'll be keeping my eye on that. i've pulled up a map to show you the next time i come back that will show you the delays that are taking place in the area, as well as the results of the accident. traveling mass transit, everything looks good except for septa's regional rail. they're telling people to expect delays because the rails are a little bit slippery. if you're headed to the mall, i know plenty of you are. we'll look at cherry hill, new jersey. 295 at 70. not a lot of traffic or problems to speak of so far. >>> 6:02 on this friday. we have breaking news that we're following. fire ripped through a philadelphia row home forcing several families on the block out into the cold. the flames started here on east price street in west oak lane. the homeowner was not there at the time, but her son was home and able to get out. nobody was hurt in the fire. nonethel

pamela osborne is live in huntington valley. the center's named in honor of  victim. tell us about the remarkable woman. >> reporter: it is. first i just want to show you exactly where we are and the things around us here. there are salons, there's a grocery store. there's so much more happening. the work that will be done here at nicole's place, as you said, will be in her honor. nicole pepelman was a mother of three, so loved by her community. sadly she was killed by her husband in a murder/suicide. it was that grief that pushed her family, friends and church family to raise thousands of dollars. they teamed up with the laurel house to open the center in hopes of preventing this from happening to someone else. we visited the center that sits in the middle of a busy shopping center as they were still constructing the counseling center. by putting this out in the open, they hope to break the silence that domestic violence thrives in. >> it is the silent killer. people don't want to talk about it. we feel this more open approach will give a voice to victims and their f

nbc10's pamela osborne is live on scene. what can you tell us? >> reporter: first i want you to take a look at what's left of this duplex. this is what six people escaped from early this morning. you can see just how badly it was damaged. the deputy fire chief tells us this was a dangerous situation, as i said. six people escaped from there. some with the help of a neighbor. the fire started a little after 3:00 this morning. by the time firefighters arrived, the six people were already out. there was heavy fire on the porches of that home that had spread to the second and third floors. we're told some of the residents suffer suffered minor injuries. one firefighter suffered minor injuries, as well. back to the rescue. it was a neighbor that alerted them to the fire. we were the only ones to talk with him. take a listen to what he says. >> seen a girl hanging out the back windows. i ran out there. and i caught her first, then caught her boyfriend. -- i called her first, then called her boimp i ryfriend. i ran out in my underwear. >> wow. >> report

reporting live, pamela osborne, nbc10 news. >>> 6:05. 38 degrees. police believe they arrested a murderer who walked into a restaurant and started shooting. you're looking at 27-year-old noel powell iii. he was arrested in trenton yesterday afternoon. police say he killed 23-year-old devin smith this past tuesday. smith was sitting at a bar of the applebee's in lawrence township when powell walked up and shot him in the head. investigators have not said what led to the incident. >>> a neurologist charge wednesday groping patients in philadelphia faces new accusations in new jersey and new york. the women say he used his kelpation as a harley -- his reputation as a healer to prey on patients. 17 women accuse dr. ricardo cruciani of sexual misconduct dating back seven years. some say the doctor would force himself on them regularly. if they didn't comply, he would withhold treatment and medication. cruciani is expected in court on charges that he assaulted seven patients while chairman of drexel university's neurology department. cruciani's lawyer say

nbc10's pamela osborne is live in center city with the marathon events. pamela, very busy weekend ahead. >> reporter: yeah. talking about 30,000 runners, 60,000 spectators. now wie're just a little more than 24 hours away from the start of the half marathon. that steps off at 7:30 tomorrow morning. if you're used to running it, you should know there are changes to the course. this year, ten miles of the half marathon course will take you through the city. lac last year there were only three miles run in the city. the marathon starts at 7:00 a.m. there's prize money up for grabs for finalists. this is so much more than a race. this year there's a new title partner, the american association for cancer research. they have runners for research and have raised more than $100,000. they're hoping to do even more. organizers are excited for the race and the new cause. >> the goal of the philadelphia marathon is to increase the health and fitness of the city of philadelphia. that's been our goal. we're a top ten race in the country. now we're a great race for a gre

nbc 10's pamela osborne is live in center city with a look at what they're saying about the tax overhaul plan. pam? >> reporter: erin, the president has said that the plaza are the real winners when it comes to the gop tax plan, but that's not what we're hearing from those elected leaders here today. congressman bob brady and congressman dwight evans came together with labor leaders a sho short time ago to highlight the human impact of this tax plan would have for men and women who work in organized labor. they say these are the people who make america move. congressman evans calls the gop tax plan an anti-jh- job-killin tax-killing scheme put upon the workers. he says it will send jobs overseas and limit deductions on things like student loan debt and mortgage-related deductions. local union leaders say they have accountants looking at the numbers. they say there are winners and losers, the winners being the 1%. the loser being working people. furthermore, elected leaders say there hasn't been any room for compromise or discussion on this bill. >> we know you can't give it all. we know

pamela osborne is live for us in the digital operations center with that part of the story. >> reporter: the suspect, tracy davidson, has a commercial truck license. he was issued traffic citations here in pennsylvania in 2012. in 2015. he lived in an apartment in genesee, new jersey. members of the joint terrorism task force were searching that apartment for evidence last night. the 29-year-old came to the united states in 2010 from uzbekistan. a friend and fellow national who knew saipov from the time he lived in florida says there was no indication that he would carry out such an attack. he described saipov as a very happy guy who liked the united states. many muslims from the middle east say they had little interaction with him or his wife and the attack was a shock to them. >> honestly, don't know what to say because of how shocked i am. >> reporter: speechless? >> yeah. >> reporter: you go to the mosque? >> yeah, i go to the mosque. >> reporter: do you ever hear anybody talking radically? >> no. they're all like, all peace in there. >> reporter: police found a note inside of the t

pamela osborne is live. pam, what are we learning about the driver? >> reporter: well, i actually just got off the phone with the police chief. he tells me they are in the process right now of reviewing surveillance video in hopes of getting another lead to track down that vehicle and that driver. the driver was behind the wheel of a pretty unique truck. it is very similar to two-toned maroon and ford pickup with a ladder rack. they believe it is a 1997 model. it may have a broken taillight, a broken passenger side mirror and taillight. they believe 2 man hit two teenagers around 8:15 last night. the victims were crossing between two intersections when they were hit. according to a witness the driver stopped briefly to move one of the people he hit off of the road before taking off. that female victim is in critical condition. no word on how that male victim is doing at this hour. let's get back to the driver. police describe him as being 6'1" or 6'2". he was wearing a blue hat. they tell me if they are able to pull an image of that vehicle or perhaps
