storm ranger is a powerful radar on wheels. >> nbc 10's pamela osborn checking the roads in south jersey live in glasboro this morning. >> reporter: we stumbled upon what appears to be a staging area, getting ready to go out on the roadway this morning. you can see this one that's getting ready to do some work here. i want to point something else out to you. the roads are wet. it is 33 degrees out here. you can see some ponding on the sides of the roadway, some of these corners. what you're looking at right now is route 47, and the snow is already beginning to stick and accumulate on the ground. an alert came out a little bit ural, th earlier this morning. all state offices are going to be closed today. if you're not essential employees do not report today. they want to get these roads taken care of. not too many issues out here aside from a bit of flooding on the roadway you see here. but again, the snow, the ice really hasn't really started yet. but we're expect things to change. if you absolutely have to be out here today, make sure you have a full tank of gas on you, allow yourself p

nbc 10's pamela osborn has stopped now. pam, you have some advice for drivers who do need to get out on the roads today. tell us about it. >> reporter: yeah, but first i want to get to some information that came out this morning. state offices will be closed today. they're asking everyone that's not a nonessential employee to stay home today. you can see the snow already accumulating on the grassy areas and a little bit more so on the road now a bit this morning. so if you have to be one of those essential employees, if you have to go in this morning make sure you dust the snow off your lights and take care of your roof and windshield as well so you aren't blinding anyone else with your snow. that's actually state law in pennsylvania. if you haven't already, take some extra time to fill up your tank to get to where you need to go this morning. when identify get in your vehicle make sure to allow plenty of distance between yourself and the snowplows. you want to give them at least six car lengths of distance so that way they
