they sell them at the national park service and at the foundation, in the bookstore there, there are four battle day, the first day, second third day, and the map i designed with the farms on it. and it gives the name of each person that owned the property, and the name of the person who lived in the farm if we knew it. and to this day, people use that map and come to the historical society and ask questions about why i put a certain individual at a location on the map. the map is based on names of the farmers that appeared on many early maps of the battle, lists for1872 cumberland township. the wall map of the battlefield, the map done after the battle, the aerial map, and i took all these maps and analyzed each of the farms and what name was given to them, and then i looked in the tax records of cumberland township and try to figure out who that person actually was that owned it at the time of the battle. you can always trace deeds for each property also. but that is much more complicated to do. then i prepared a map. beenlthough the map hasn't widely circulated or reprinted, histo
