hopefully -- so jackson park was my childhood park.on't remember the memories particularly, but i went to toddler class in our community center. and in the '90s when i was still in the bay area, i would visit the park and notice the renovations that were done in the '90s and then went to college and came back to pretrero hill to live on my own and noted that wasn't any more renovations done to jackson park. so it is now 2019, this year has gone by quick, but it's about time to start bringing in new life to this park. as someone's who's grown up in san francisco and thinking about having a family here and supporting things, i have joined friends of jackson park to help show my support for the park and grow support and hopefully persuade you to please think about jackson park as a place that needs to be a priority project on the next parks bond. so i thank you for your consideration. maybe next time i will be a little bit more clear. thank you so much. >> president buell: thank you. >> clerk: is there any other public comments? seeing no

other civil war parks do as well. other state parks host ccc camps. it's not uncommon. but what i found interesting, and what does make gettysburg's ccc camps in the 1930's unique , is who is working there. and those of you up front, if you take a good look at the picture and the individuals in it, what do you notice about the ccc workers? african-american. now, that in itself is not unique particularly. shiloh national military park hosts an african-american ccc camp in tennessee, in the 1930's. gettysburg is different. the enrollees are african-american, but roosevelt is going to sign off in making gettysburg a test case that not only are the enrollees african-american, but so is the supervisor. so instead of being under the control of a white supervisor, much like the usct organization, gettysburg is going to see a black superintendent. his name is frederick slade, and he arrives here in 1936. until 1942, hundreds of african-americans toil on the gettysburg battlefield, doing stuff like this. you all probably use this particular facility before, i bet, right? i know

can park. they may not do it for free and it may not be uncontrolled but we absolutely can park. i want to just refer back to the hayes valley neighborhood association letter, that had a really good request in there which was to take a bigger look, again, at the area, and adopt a green mobility framework, prioritizing managing private car traffic. when i'm sitting on the 21 hayes which i do a lot in outbound direction, we get stuck in traffic on the couple of blocks by patricia's green lot and this is calling out for charge the chair requested a few months ago, which is to take a look and find streets where we can make them transit and taxi only and get the private automobiles and the tncs out of there that are clogging the traffic up for the two blocks on hayes. what blocks am i looking at, gulf, octavialaguna where it can take my bus six or seven minutes to get through there and that would be a fantastic street. not just a pedestrian and other than that, this project is great and i appreciate

national park. our proximity to yellowstone is a pretty important part of what we interpret here. we are 60 miles north of yellowstone national park. we have a pretty good collection of cultural artifacts related to that area. touring bus a 1937 that drove the streets and roads of yellowstone park for decades. we try to document the cultural history of all of the northern rockies. idaho, part of wyoming, all of montana and up into alberta and british columbia. we will look at the life of john bozeman. he is the namesake of our town, where museum of the rockies is located. we will look at the very few artifacts directly related to him. there is no other place in the world that contains these items. john bozeman was a fascinating character. he came out to what was then 2.aho territory in 186 he came out as a gold miner. he left his family behind in georgia. he was a georgian by birth. interestingly his father had done the same thing during the california gold rush, had abandoned his family, gone to ca

so i'm -- bay view -- here is bay view park. i'm going to just take you through the visuals of the park. so as you can see, here is an existing aerial of bay view park. it is a 4.4-acre park in bay view district 10, and it is surrounded by -- on 3rd street -- it's not coming out there. so on the west side on 3rd street, on the east side is keith street and on the south side is carol street. it's known by a few names because of the amenities that are there, the martin luther king park is there and also the bay view playground in the center. you've seen this project a few times because in 2013 you awarded $300,000 to the bay view hill zone and park 94124 to renovate and possibly expand the playground which is in the center of the property. the plan that you see on the right happens to be the plan that you approved at that time. since then, some changes have happened. we also came back in 2017 to accept a grant award from a federal grant that was administered through the state of california for $375,000 in order to add to this plan
