live in parkville. keith daniels, fox 45 news at 10:00. >> okay keith. how much more snow can we be expecting tonight? and more importantly tomorrow morning. chief meteorologist vytas reid joins us with more on tonight's winter blast. vytas? >> well, jeff, once again, we're at it with mother nature giving us r more snow. we are expecting to see this season a snowyer season and we are getting it. our composite shows snow coming down around the city. towson, pair he hall, psychicsville, northern portion of the state. and we will continue to see the activity coming down for the next several hours. down toward dc, annapolis, and crossing the bay in easton. mixed bag there and over toward chestertown. but we can see off off to the western edge. west chester and hagerstown. dry line working in. but several miles of snow to deal with through the overnight. so it looks like several inches continue to come down. that's why westbound under a winter storm warning four central maryland. including baltimore city. stretching down to 95 corridor to d.c.. counties west

temperatures you can see things were cold enough for it to all be snow last night but not by much. 30 parkville. 31 maryland science center. these are the overnight low temperatures. it is what you woke up to this morning. a nice rebound temperature wise into the afternoon. if you look across the state. 42 baltimore. 39 easton. 39 hagerstown. all across the state the snow that fell quickly converting over into liquid. melting off nicely through the day today. i want to give you a few more local high temperatures. you can see, for the most part, around baltimore we were in the 40s. 45 germantown. millersville 4 degrees. a lot 48 degrees. temperatures now fallen off. we are vndown into the upper 30s. still above freezing. still melting even now past sunset. now it is time to turn our attention to the next winter storm. all of these counties shaded in blue under a winter storm watch. this kicks in midday friday. early friday into midday. that's when our first chance for snow begins to come in out of the west. looks like a long event. a few fair weather clouds across the state. no immediate weather

ralph tells me he lived in parkville and snow drifts were up to the top of telephone poles. this is the historic stuff you see pictures about and you don't believe. we literally have two and a half feet on the ground. if you bet this snow you get another ten to 20-inches that blows and drifts we are looking at stuff where you are covering up street signs. it is really hard to discern what the toptography is of the land. >> we'll be back in a couple more minutes to break this historic storm down as it comes in out of the west. now back to the news desk. >>> fortunately despite the flakes coming down the roadways getting wet we don't have any accidents working around the major roadways at this time. that's always good news. delays piling up as people strioto get ahead of the storm. let me get you updated. we are seeing delays caused by the snow removal plows that are make their way around the beltway up and down the 95 corridor between baltimore city and howard county. if you get stuck behind them be patient. it will clear out. on the outer loop a disabled vehicle block lanes.

parkville watch as the snow moves in. it comes down heavily once it picks up late in the day.i want to show you temperatures today. this is why we didn't have a lot of sticking early on. watch ellicott city. it makes the pavement wet. then the changeover. drop below freezing and you have good sticking going on. that's exactly what all of baltimore is facing now. over 12 inches we think that's a safe bet. possibly as much as 20 or more. that would make it the first time on record we have had two one foot-plus storms in a single winter and separately the first time ever of two 20- inch plus storms. take a look at the size of this thing. there are two areas of low pressure involved. the worse is still very much yet to come with this storm. totals we think 16 to 26 inches. this is going to be a heavier, denser snow with the possibility of sleet mixing in. certainly a threat of sleet and cold rain toward the eastern shore. lower totals there. highier totals across baltimore and washington. our blizzard warning for much of southern maryland now extending back into washington now. bl

now we have learn had the the owners of that parkville gym left members of other clubs in the your. , too. it closed two weeks ago letting members know with a note on the door. people tell us they are having a tough time tracking the owners down to get a refund. they are not alone. two other gold gym's owned by the same family closed abruptly last fall surprising members who go there. >> you'll be wary of giving out your credit card information. try to pay in cash if you can. the rug can be pulled out at any moment. >> attorney general office is asking anyone who thinks they are entitled to a refund to file a complaint. >>> there is legal action over a petition drive to end plans for a slot casino at ann arundel mall. they are suing the ann arundel county board of elections claiming they are overlooking fraud. a lawyer says there is no merit to the claim noting the board has thrown out half of the signatures supporting the proposal. as of tuesday they verified 13,000 signatures with more than 18,000 needed to put the zoning measure on the ballot november. the deadline is march 8th. >>

this is the totals right now at 10:30. 2 1/2 inches in baltimore city. 2 inches toward towson and parkvilleming out to the west a bit. close to 2 inches toward aberdine. and then down over eastern shore. more, 2 1/2 toward churchill and chestertown. and down to the south, 3-inch phos jessup, towards columbia and laurel and off to the west, 4 inches. you can add on a inch or so because of the heavy wet snow that we are having fall from the sky right now. around 2 and 2500th of an inch in westminster. so large system is in the region right now. so just a bit of some history. are we going to beat the total, a record from the snowfall? we could. so taking you back. trying to beat 28.2 inches, february 15, 2003. the second largest historic snowfall was 26.5 inches back in 1922. 22.8 inches in 1983, and 22.5 inches in 1996. so on the future scan. we will experience the heaviest snowfall totals overnight tonight. we can see right around 2 inches of snowfall per hour. and right around 3 a.m. is really when we get high in intensity with the snowfall totals. as the low pressure inches closer to our r

parkville came in with 3.3. again, that was an old total. that will be updated when they get the list. rossville, made the list, at 3 inches. they have piled up 5.25. charleston checking in with five inches. we will probably add to the list. we may have added more but we had some rain in the spots that come tacted. it will be really difficult to give you the final total. it looks like the freezing rain get back to snow. that's going to be an issue for the day. elseburg-- perry hall and edgeway at 29. look at the eastern shore. it's plain old drizzle there at 33. they cut off the precipitation. once it builds back in, it should turn over to snow quickly as the snow -- waiting for the carolina county give me some experts. it did turn to sleet and freezing rain for them. we have the doppler -- as you could see, we're shrinking the, the pink. shrink the pink. i think that will be the rule of the hour. we are pushing the storm back in. it appears the line came in baltimore city. over towards white marsh. and federal hill and canton. once you head
