so another piece that we participated in was part of participating in the implementation of the design special education and their identifying their straefg goals across the department and the calculation of other parental organizations and community leaders to give feedback. they're specific goal was creating authentic relationships to address student success. as part of that process the ideas that were generated from the committee meeting in march some of those questions are included with dr. and her colleagues. i'm going to highlight a couple of those. some of those that came out of that briefing the parents want the information particle around the information progress. for example, on information sheet on the i p project works it should be included in a package including friendly language. another input from the pact this those cross packet calculations was the ideas of parents having information of the, i.e., process so they can understand the challenges and where is their input on the individual listed plan four their child. the pack has been in contact of how the packet can prov

we actively participated in the monthly family engagement network convened by the coordinator. and pac is one of many community based organization to provide feedback on the engagement family's vision and standards. pac continues to hold it on the after school for all advisory council and we really attended their meetings and work subgroups. in the fall, the pac vice chair spoke at the policy briefing after school at city hall and in late february, the pac vice chair was a representative and joined other representatives from the a. fa council in a conference at baltimore maryland for building local system to improve the after school programs. >> san francisco was one of the few city teams across the country who sent a parent representative to that conference. >> this year, the pac has taken an active role in the education collective of the community based organizations with the parent leaders and the chinese for affirmative action and james town and mission graduates, and to engage the families across the different communities and cultures, and languages and socio economic back

my daughter is a participant for the last five years. her grades have been up substantially due to this program and i truly believe that with the advocate of all these people who wants this to get passed, it should get passed because the kids are more important than anybody's saturday morning tea time. in order for all of these kids to develop their skills and to be properly taught, they need a good facility, they need some space, i know harden is one of our more professional sponsors. it may not have the full capacity of the necessarities what the kids need. golden gate park, i've been golfing myself there for the past 12 years and i've been to every golf course around here and that would be a great facility for them to learn and to get some good skills in terms of their golfing as well as their education and i'm a strong advocate for these kids. i will continue to be and i think you should all have the same feeling because they are our precious future and you never know. you might have some good champions back there right in our mist a
