i'm pat valentine i'm part of the advocacy group called next stop advocating for the fisherman's wharf and most of the vice president i'm that over for the presentation this is not only a great extension to get people to fisherman's wharf and north beach but to bring people down to south beach and mission bay we have a growing merchant community that is very important for the neighbors i live there as well 0 this will have benefits on both sides we've heard the study shows as the benefits of the extension bruce highlighted them a lot of people every time we look to build something people will complain about traffic and expense but i'll be riding the system and so we if we look at how much it took to get bart done and muni underground we see the benefits this is something we have to do for the future of san francisco jim lazarus couldn't stay i want to read a letter in the chamber of commerce as the work level continues to grow it is essentially, we expand our system with the growth slate to occur in the ed of the city and the t line connecting fisherman's wharf to moscone center makes

i'm pat valentine he i've lived in the south beach mission bay neighborhood and vice president of the south beach merchants association so i'm here on behalf of both of those i've been following this project tennis the piers 30-32 one of the things as a business association as a merchants association with our neighborhood association is work on activating our neighborhood with the addition ground floor retail so mission bay is viewing and coming on line one of the things that is important watching what happens with the arena and sdraths with the neighborhood also as a designation place for people that live there and for people coming there and we're pleased with how this project has advanced in this new way and excited about the retail about the marketplace they're going to set up it's important for us as neighbors and the merchant associations to see other replacement in the neighborhood and having it next to the park is also important so this new design we look forward to the continuing evolution and excited about getting started thank a lot. >> thank you. >> members of the commissi

. >> good afternoon pat valentine with the vice president of the south beach mission bay association and also on behalf of the next stop it's interesting that this presentation came right after the one on the warriors because expending the central subway up to fisherman's wharf with the north beach station certainly would help a lot with getting folks down to the venue someone that works and lives in the south beach mission bay this northeast south connection is critical for bringing folks down and getting to north beach you can't even get to the alone fisherman's wharf so with that value being important and the land use contemplations i want to double down on what bruce said in supporting and asking the planning department to study a planning study focused on the station both at north beach and fisherman's wharf that will be critical figuring out where those station are and how important they are to the neighborhood and the whole eastern side of the city is an important actual realty thank you very much. >> thank you. >> commissioners julie north beach resident i'm part of the super
