meteorologist sandyha patel is here with that sandy. >> yeah, and dan, we're going to be noticing those changes if you haven't already. it is much cooler today. take a look at a live picture from our emeryville camera. a beautiful view as we look across the bay of those clouds gathering. level one storm is on the way and those clouds are in advance of the storm. so let's go hour by hour late tonight, some wet weather moves in by midnight. you're already getting the rain in the north bay across the bay area. we're going to start to notice that mixed precipitation, higher peaks. tomorrow morning we'll be looking at snow. it's going to be a little bit on the breezy to gusty side, with the scattered showers continuing well into the afternoon. so tomorrow it's a one rain. brief downpours, gusty winds, chance of thunder and hail and snow on our higher peaks. the snow levels will range between three 30,000 and 4000ft. look at the changes already underway. double digit drop in napa, concord, santa rosa, san jose, even livermore as we look at the winds there, gusty as well. 35 miles an hour in o

let's get straight to the storm heading for the bay area abc seven news meteorologist sandhya patel is tracking it for us. yeah >> and dan and dion is closing in on the bay area already. let me show you live doppler seven. as we are seeing some wet weather along parts of the coast and the north bay. so let's get you into street level radar on live doppler seven. it is getting wet from fort ross, fort ross road into jenner area. we're going to take this back the last couple of hours, and you will notice those showers beginning to rotate in. rainfall totals have been a few hundredths to about a few tenths of an inch in the north bay, but a few hundredths of an inch have been reported along the coast as well. with this level one storm that is cold for this time of year as we go, hour by hour, you will notice at 3 a.m. some downpours coming through snow over our higher peaks at 7 a.m. and really just bands of showers will continue to rotate in. we also have the risk of thunderstorms for tomorrow. it is a shaky view from sutro tower as the winds are gusting 39 miles an hour. lahonda 41 moun

let's get to meteorologist sandyha patel to see what's coming. sandhya. yeah >> and ama and dan, i want to show you a live picture from our san jose camera. what is coming is some change. first, let's talk about the cloud cover that is still stacked up over the south bay right now. hard to see anything. a lot of clouds at this hour, but you're starting to notice some of that is breaking up in the northern part of our viewing area. and that is because as you take a look here, the area of low pressure that has been keeping us in this cooler than average pattern with the marine layer, it's right there. it's moving towards southern california. we are seeing thunderstorms in the sierra. there's another system that's coming our way for tomorrow night into friday that could bring us a couple of sprinkles. so right now let's talk about those winds 21 mile an hour gusts right now in livermore, 20 in novato. pier 39 camera a lovely view. clouds are stacked up, no doubt about it. but the sea lions don't seem to be bothered by this or the visitors. low to mid 60s fro

meteorologist sandyha patel is here.dy. >> hi, there. >> yeah, definitely will be changing soon. dan and diana, i want to show you just a stunning view from our golden gate bridge camera. you can see just sutro tower camera looking at the golden gate bridge. just how great it looks from this vantage point. temperatures today, 7 to 13 degrees above average. and with the high clouds tonight, we're holding in some of the heat from earlier in the day. temperatures are in the 50s and 60s. these look like high temperatures for you, but their currents seven degrees warmer in hayward compared to this time yesterday. up four in livermore, san jose and santa rosa. as we check out your high temperatures. it was 81 in napa. san jose got up to 82 in santa cruz, 80 in santa rosa and redwood city, 70 from san francisco to oakland to concord. now, don't get too used to this idea. livermore's average high is 68 degrees. tomorrow you're at 81. but notice the temperatures just taking a nosedive as we head towards your friday and saturday.
