and patrick are right. there are several problems for the white house in terms of making good on this health care promise. one is this sort of shorter term issue of farcing republicans in the house to walk the plank on measures that are unpopular in swing districts, only to potentially see them fizzle out in the senate, and the other problem is if they do get this passed, do get it through the senate, they do change the law to reduce this list of essential health benefits that are required, to change the way the rules are for preexisting conditions, if not to get rid of that coverage for preexisting conditions, then they own this law and that i think is the fundamental tension for republicans right now. they know that if things do, are enacted and they don't bring premiums down and people aren't happy with coverage options or the breadth of coverage it's a republican problem and no longer a democratic problem or failing. >> a.b., this is one of the days we almost don't know how to deal with because congress
