when the bridge lanes were shut down and patrick foy, the guy you saw a minute ago, when he intervened to get those lanes reopened. he described efforts to reverse pat foy's decision, and said david samson was helping us to retaliate against that decision. mr. samson also turns up in the documents saying that pat foy the guy who reopens the bridge is stirring up trouble and he ought to stop playing in traffic. despite all of that, despite the way david samson is in the mix of all of these things. governor christie says he's come vinced of david samson's total innocence in this manner. he is still in this position that chris christie appointed him to. he's been subpoenaed at least twice in the investigation of this matter. he's been represented by two major law firms, including one run by chertoff, the former head of homeland security. the people who have invoked their fifth amendment rights are stepien and kelly. the committee investigating the scandal filed lawsuits against bill stepien and bridgette kelly. these are the civil actions they filed. if they continue to refuse to hand ove

what i thought was interesting today, patrick foy says today, he's executor of the port authority, we want to look into this. and there's this record reporting. i want to give one little hint of their reporting about the level of activity of the port authority police on the ground at the time, telling people to blame the mayor. so here's a clip of that. one motorist recalled an officer approached his vehicle without prompting, told the driver, roll down his window, and delivered the message, are you frustrated, the officer asked. what's going on, michelle replied? call the mayor's office to complain, michele said the officer responded. where do you see foy in this? >> this brings up the tensions in the port authority. it's a bi-state agency, and there have been a lot of tensions throughout the years over cuomo and christie between projects, who gets what, what airport gets subsidized, what doesn't. and foy has been a real part of this investigation going forward. >> we know about what we know, because foy sent this e-mail that was basically like, the bureaucratic version of a nuclear

weeks after the closings which quoted a september e-mail from port authority executive director patrick foy demanding that the closed lanes be reopened. so again, the question is, you know, does that crick what he ct what he said at the press conference? when did he know about this? >> that's what we're trying to figure out and you know how it is, when you are talking to lawyers, it depends on what the definition of is, is. he may be able to say and no one can contradict that this was ongoing, in his office. he was busy with other things. he didn't know what was going on until he read about it in the papers. it would be hard to think that a guy who likes to manage things as well as christie, that somebody didn't call him on the phone and say, what's with all this bridge backup here, what's going on here? i guess it was possible. >> because it was a huge issue. i want to read another quote from wildstein's attorneys. he says mr. wildstein contests the accuracy of various statements that the governor made about him and he can prove the inaccuracy of some. is he claiming that christie said he
