the blackhawks' patrick kane was injured and could miss most of the regular season. kane left last night's game against the blues with an apparent knee injury. it was in the second period when the blues' brendan morrow got checked and fell into kane's left knee. kane kneeled on the ice for a few seconds, before he skated to the bench on his own. kane is expected to miss about three weeks. that would take the hawks to the last few games of the regular season. we'll have highlights of the hawks game, later in sports. state representative keith farnham has resigned less than a week after federal agents searched his home and district office. farnham is a democrat from elgin, who had been in the house since 2009. in a statement, he said he's stepping down because of serious health issues. investigators executed search warrants last thursday, but they didn't say why. farnham ran unopposed in tuesday's primary. democratic leaders will pick his replacement for the general election. the general election is less than eight months away, but both sides of the governor's race are
