police lieutenant about 20 minutes ago who confirms the kids feeling sick were students here at grace patterson elementary school in vallejo. it apparently happened shortly after the lunch hour yesterday when one of the students shared a package of cookies with his or her classmates without realizing the cookies were laced with pot. according to police that student reported getting the cookies from a stranger at a local convenience store on his or her way to school. the cookies were individually packaged. and according to police when the teacher here looked at the wrapper of one of those cookies after the child reported feeling sick there was some sort of writing and notation about it being a cannabis cookie. the students went to the hospital after reportedly feeling sick and nauseous. they were all released later in the evening. coming up later this morning we're hoping to hear back from a spokesman from the vallejo unified school district. to find out how they're helping with the investigation because vallejo police are looking into this and trying to find out who gave that student the cookie
