brennan former c.i.a. director fired a warning shot you could say to paul ryan and to mitch mcconnell and we can take a looksome of his tweets. he said senator mcconnell and speaker ryan. if mr. trump continues along this disastrous path you will be responsible for great harm to our demz. you do a great disservice if you enable mr. trump's self-serving actions. what is your response to that? >> well, john brennan has been extreme in a lot of his statements since leaving office. i think that what people in the justice department and the white house and on capitol hill would say is this is a really rather extraordinary circumstance that you would have the justice department have one of the major presidential campaigns under a counter intelligence investigation at the height of the campaign and possibly even tried to implant an informant inside the campaign. these are really, really serious issues. and i think that as i said before, i think they would be worthy of investigation. whether or not the president had ever said anything at all. >> heather: it is remarkable. what jonathan turley said at the beginning
