paul burton of our boston station wbz reports. >> reporter: with their arms lifted high, runners andk part in the one run for boston. there were tears, hugs, chants, and dancing. as boston marathon survivors crossed the finish line together. >> it's so heartwarming to be able to see this. >> reporter: john odom was there when the race began in santa monica in march. the journey took runners through 14 states as a fund-raiser for the one run. they ran the boston marathon and the survivors crossed the finish line. >> it was great. it was so nice to know all these people have been supporting us all the way from california. >> reporter: jennifer lemurman was sean collier's sister. he was shot and killed days following the bombings. >> this is something i really wanted to do for him because i think it's something if he were here, he would be doing. >> reporter: some of after 3,328 miles and more than $430,000 raised, one run boston crosses the finish line, and, of course, the survivors are the inspiration. and with only one week to go, support and love for boston continues to grow strong.
