[music] paul: you know, when they first started organizing in 1962, my father knew that people were scared of unions because every attempt to build a union had been crushed. and so, they started the movement, right, with the name the national farm workers association. they called it an association, and then the filipino union was the awoc, the agricultural workers organizing committee. and then it was when the two merged that the ufw name was born, yeah. [music] paul: you know, these were the famous friday night meetings. and i'm sure you've probably talked to people from san jose who said they talked about the food caravans they used to bring down. well, this is where they would come to, and there would be meetings, and the meetings would lift people's

paul avenue. and we've also had southbound 101 at cesar chavez. i would avoid 101 all together.to 28 or or if you -- 280 or don't get on the freeway. i know it's hard to say. find a way to get on the freeway after san francisco if you can. 280 extension, i guess is not bad. westbound bay bridge still very slow trying to get across. 101 traffic does affect san francisco-bound commuters off the bay bridge. the entire east bay is still slow. highway 80 from highway 4. 680 from 24. highway 4 has improved a little bit. but 680 has slowed into san ramon. 880 very slow into fremont. just to touch on the south bay, 85, 208 and 101 are all very slow. if you are expecting someone at work, they might be a little late. let's go to steve. >>> already seeing 70, 75 in san francisco around the bay. also around tiburon and oakland, it's warming up really quick here. ♪ it's getting hot >> it's getting hot!
