ktvu's paul tang -- paul chambers tells us she was still living nearby on the sausalito waterfront. >> reporter: these houses in sausalito was the neighborhood where flores. if you're not familiar with who she is , you may know her famous son tupac checotah. his mother died monday night. >> she was in the company of her friend and again, physical discomfort, at that point, she tried to in her night. >> reporter: a friend called 911, reporting she was in need of emergency care. paramedics took her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead from some cut -- some type of cardiac event. >> i was sad to see the paramedics come in, and i was very sad to hear the news this morning about misses sugar. >> i heard behind this because that lady was really sweet, man. she helped everybody. people that couldn't help their self, unfortunate kids, she just went out of her way to help people. >> when i was pregnant in jail i thought i was going to have a baby and the baby would never be with me but i was acquitted before tupac checotah was born. i was happy. >> reporter: this rap classics on by tupac pedro a march to his mother. who was an activist, philanthropist, a
