let's bring in chief meteorologist paul hagan. we started the day with sunshine, but more to come. >> for parts of the area, it's a mixed bag of weather. let's look at the last 24-hour sz 4-hour as we look towards one of the showers. amounts varied from anywhere half an inch within the last 24 hours to inch and a half in the santa cruz mountains. first alert doppler, let's zoom in. the colors that look angry, possible not only heavier downpours, but small hail falling out of those storms, tracking its way through richmond and into portions of alameda and contra costa unthe higher elevations, this intermittent activity is with us the rest of this evening, not zero chance, but limited until the late night and early morning hours, which it will be widespread and impact on the commute. and higher elevations, it will be snow, snow not as low. above 2000 feet in elevation, but really the highest peaks are going to see the most significant accumulations. this should not be as much a factor as last thursday into early friday morning. taki
