so let's check in with chief meteorologist paul heggen for just how long all of this is sticking around depending on where you live. >> yeah, about another 48 hours or so in this unsettled weather pattern. the rain chances will gradually diminish. kind of an ominous look to the east. but because the sun is close to the western horizon, it's shining directly onto the rain clouds that are still dropping quite a bit of rain over the east bay right now. let's take a look at the totals so far. over an inch of rain. but under half an inch of rain across the rest of the bay area. about a third of an inch for san francisco. less than .2 inches for santa rosa and san jose. first alert doppler is picking up on the scattered showers across the bay area. a little activity around napa, lifting generally to the north. some heavier and more widespread rain is moving from contra costa across the strait up into solano county. more rain falling in oakland. that rain will continue to come at us in waves of rain. it won't rain everywhere, but more showers are likely to head towards tomorrow morning. check

i've been talking to meteorologist paul heggen who has been filling me in. let's toss it over to you. one more cool day? >> that's what it says on the screen here. good for you to be able to read across the room like that. we do have one more cool day in the forecast. in the middle of the cool stretch of weather for most of the month of may. that's when things will warm up and they're going to warm up in a hur rhode island look at the ten-day temperature forecast for concord because you'll have some of the warmest temperatures once we hit the weekend. up beginning on thursday, but the warmup will be much more noticeable on friday with a quick spike in temperatures by saturday. reaching up into the low 90s for inland parts of the east bay. a mix of upper 80s and the low 90s. and while our temperatures do coast downward after that, they're only going to coast down to near average levels by the time we hit the later half of next week. of course, that warm weather pattern, even hot weather pattern is not here yet. we still have blue skies overhead about 45 minut
