troopers arrested 40-year-old paul johnson. he faces kidnapping and assault charges and investigators say johnson met the woman in aberdeen. they were traveling from there to edge wood when the woman started feeling unsafe with the man. troopers say she asked to get out of the car and he refused to let her go. he put a huge knife to her throat and harm her if she left. investigators say the woman saw a chance to escape and they approached philadelphia road they say she jumped out of the car. >> when she did that the suspect johnson grabbed hold of her and hanging out of the vehicle and dragging alongside the vehicle. she manages to break free and slide on the ground. gets some bruises. some scratches and bruises that kind of thing. >>reporter: the woman gave police a description of the suspect, the car, aberdeen police spotted the car near the stadium there was a chase. then johnson crashed. that's when police caught him. troopers say the man and woman have a relationship but they are unclear as to what kind that might be. mean
