joining me now to talk about this case is captain paul starks with the montgomery county police department. thanks for being with us. let me just start by asking you how did you find out about this woman? >> well, at about 2:15 yesterday afternoon, a friend of hers reported her missing to officers out of the second district in bethesda. they took the report and provided that information to detectives in the fifth district in germantown. after they received that report, they came to her residence, knocked on the door, received no answer and then made their way in through the sliding glass door with is i acance from fire rescue. -- with assistance from fire rescue. >> when did this happen? how did she die? do we have any information about that at this time? >> well, we are investigating this death as a homicide. but we have to wait for the medical examiner to provide us more details on that. the time line is something that we're trying to work with as well. this investigation is still very fresh. we're hoping with daylight hours, business hours, we'll be able to contact more family, friends,
