joining me leuthold group chief investment strategist, jim paulson. you've been in the peak inflation camp for a couple months now. does that mean the economy could also skirt a recession? >> i think so, charles. i mean to me there is a lot more fear of recession and a lot of people suggesting recession than the actual evidence that would support that right now. certainly the job numbers through the first six months of this year is way out of bounds with any kind of recession of the past at least overall. if inflation comes down to your point, charles, and it is, i think there is a lot of evidence it is coming down, if it does, then i think that will calm people down about a recession because it really gives the fed a lot more leeway and actually right now, with commodity prices coming down and core cpi, ppi, pce rates coming down, wage inflation moderating, cars, vehicles, retail inventories bringing discounts i think will have more information, maybe a pause see where this goes. that could change at toddes in the investment markets. >> i want to und
