let's get over to steve paulson for a look at your weather today . >> i'll try and communicate some rain here. it's been a tall order here most of this week except for areas north. yesterday, sonoma county, lake county, napa county, or excuse me, mendocino county. it's trying some moisture is trying to work its way up around santa cruz santa cruz mountains. this is high base but it is trying. so some activity could pick up here as we go throughout the day. but the surface wind is still out of the south southeast and that's going to pick up here. in fact, it's already cranked up here pretty well. mount diablo due south. and some of these areas are showing an east wind, southeast wind, most locations or a northeast wind. but mount diablo is up 36, almost 40mph. so you have some mild temperatures already, 60 in the city, 61 sfo, half moon bay is 63. warm degrees. fremont 58, hayward's 59. we saw low to mid 70s yesterday. the moisture source is beginning to lift north. the main front, though, continues to lift northward and then we'll have to wait for the tail end of this to lift. that will

it was also 80 degrees in morgan hill and oh, big thanks to steve paulson for texting in and saying sanartin hit 83 degrees today. say it was ten degrees cooler than that to the north in santa rosa. how about high 60s across the sunset district into san francisco, downtown around markettreet, 71 degrees in concord today, 73 up. peace redwood city. and in mountain view, it was a stellar day. just stunning. and this evening, clari except a little bit of stratus in the form of some fog right around, oh, let's say san francisco, closer to the coast there is that fog bank is down to about 800ft at this hour. otherwise, we could see the salesforce tower standing at 1000ft, 57 degrees in the city by the bay, 59 across the bay in oakland. it's still in the 60s across cooper tino campbell, los gatos and in saratoga in the mid 60s. now this is impressive. this is a big area of low pressure. a lot of troughing associated with it. i got to tell you, this aa of low pressure, it caused a snow emergency and anchorage, alaska, last week. so it gives you and me a good idea. it has a lot of precipitation
