joining me is payne capital management president and host of payne points of wealth podcast, ryan paren also with me is adam johnson. great to see you. thanks for joining the conversation. adam, i want to kick things off with you with a market that is mixed today. take a look at futures, we're seeing a pretty good bump up here with the dow up 34, the nasdaq up 16. giving up some of the negative that we saw earlier but the dow did turn negative for 2023 yesterday an that's because of higher interest rates. yields are up this morning, the take a look at the 10 year, a new 16 year high with the yield now at 4.796%, adam, just a minute ago it was 4.8% on the 10 year. how crucial is this for your investing? >> significant. and i will tell you what happened overnight that i am watching and it's the 30 year bond. as traders call it the long bond. the reason being, it went above 5% in the overnight session. we haven't seen that since 2001, that's the old contract high. i think that's what the chicago traders are watching. they wanted to see that yield go to 5% as a test. if it holds, i think th
