south of market you've eertd harder is a rich neighborhood with a mix of uses and this is pdr is an important mix this is highlighted a couple of weeks ago when kilroy mandatory they'd be purchasing the flower mart and one of 5 wholesale markets in the nation it will prevent any presidio use in the selma plan as the city engages how to include all the variety of uses that our city would like to see in this neighborhood we know that pdr spaces and jobs you know that pdr spaces and johns provide an important vehicle particularly for our working class community because they provide the jobs for the city that may not have the higher education even a couple of weeks ago i met with a variety of associations i've heard from many members that have family members that worked at the flower mart and concerned about the flower mart moving to oakland their coming out of the housing balance and housing production compromise with the mayor's office and my office engaged in over the month of july we know that growth is a positive for the city bringing in more revenue for office and residential unit
