our peggy fox has been on the story for months. peg you're at this board meeting tonight and you've got some new information for us. >> reporter: well leslie the school board has been in a closed door session since 5:00 p.m. will be coming up. we interviewed two former students who accused their former basketball coach of sexual harassment and bullying. suffer allegations were not taken seriously. the coach stayed on the job for the rest of the season while that student who complained was kicked off the team. the activities director claims he told lake braddock principal. thomas told parents he was not informed. that football coach was also forced out of lake braddock. now this past summer after superintendent scott bravan took office. said the basketball coach did engage in improper conduct but it found no wrong doing on part of school leadership. >> we're going to fully investigation all the information that's been shared by you and make sure we take the appropriate actions. we'll continue to make sure we've fully investigating m

as peggy fox uncovered, there is evidence school leaders may have ignored the allegations. tonight, peggy talks to a parent who said she reported similar allegations about the same couch, four years ago. >> reporter: their daughter played for the coach his first season at lake braddock in 2013. at the end of the season, susan said she called the principal to complain about the coaches behavior. >> are first season he coached in 2013 and i spoke to dave thomas and i spoke to the a.g.'s office and i even said to them, if you don't get on this now, you are going to have a problem in the future. >> reporter: you weren't out to get the coach fired? >> no. >> he wanted the inappropriate comments to stop? >> i wanted his inappropriate comments to stop and i wanted his emotional outbursts at the girls to stop. >> reporter: her daughter betsy, now 21, was the team president. >> he said inappropriate things to the girls. it definitely didn't feel like a comfortable space at practice and stuff. he was very inappropriate. >> reporter: inappropriate in a sexual sort of way? >> yes. >> re

peggy fox was at tonight's school board meeting to continue the investigation. >> reporter: the parent who filed the federal complaint has been trying to speak at a fairfax county school board meeting for months of tonight he got his chance. >> three wusa9 investigative reports and three washington post articles have detailed the appalling claims of sexual harassment against students. >> reporter: bill park's daughter was on the lake braddock girls varsity basketball team coached by john giannelli in 2015. lizzy fitzpatrick and ferrell accused him of harassment and bullying and say administrators ignored their complaints. >> i could not be more proud of i just can't imagine being in that position. >> reporter: when we first aired our story, we wanted to ask the superintendent about the sexual harassment allegations and the school system's investigation. tonight he finally agreed to answer some questions. does it concern you that these two young women, former students, feel like their allegations were not taken seriously? >> their allegations were taken seriously and i'm sorry that they
